RUSSELL MINERAL EQUIPMENT (RME) exists to enable our Customers to eliminate fatal risk and visibly, defensibly, and sustainably improve the performance of their mineral concentrators through fast, reliable safe mill relining. These concentrators are responsible for producing the minerals, like copper, needed for the energy transition. For 40 years, RME has dedicated itself to this noble purpose.

Raising the standard – for our industry and planet
RME was founded on the belief that we can make things better. Through collaborating across teams, collaborating with Customers and suppliers, as well as persistent innovation and enduring commitment, we have set new industry-wide safety standards and productivity gains for mill relining. We are shaping the future of the industry with pioneering robotic solutions that enhance our Customers' ability to produce minerals, such as copper, essential for the energy transition, more safely.
With deep and proud local roots in Toowoomba, Queensland, we have grown to operate in 64 countries, with 12 international Sales and Service Centres, employing more than 450 dedicated and skilled people worldwide. There are more than 440 mine sites across the planet served by RME’s equipment and services, including more than 600 RUSSELL Mill Relining Machines.

Seeking an Undergraduate Electrical Engineer / Electrical Draftsperson to join RME's Asset Support Engineering team, based at our Hursley Road facility in Toowoomba. You will assist with producing detailed electrical schematics, assembly and manufacturing drawings that support the sustainment and upgrade of RME's in-service equipment. Successful applicants should ideally hold a current undergraduate study in Electrical Engineering, or relevant trade experience in a related industry, CAD modelling experience, and experience working with mining or heavy industrial equipment. Seeking an Assembly Technician to join our team in Toowoomba. This permanent full-time role plays a key role in the assembly of RME-manufactured special machines. This includes a combination of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems, including powerful robotic devices. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent. A current QLD Driver’s Licence is required and has or willing to obtain an Overhead Gantry Crane Licence, Forklift High Risk Work Licence, and a Dogger High Risk Work Licence. Apply via SEEK.

This role would suit someone looking for flexible, occasional work who is comfortable being called in when additional support is required.
