RUSSELL MINERAL EQUIPMENT (RME) exists to enable our Customers to eliminate fatal risk and visibly, defensibly, and sustainably improve the performance of their mineral concentrators through fast, reliable safe mill relining. These concentrators are responsible for producing the minerals, like copper, needed for the energy transition. For 40 years, RME has dedicated itself to this noble purpose.

With deep and proud local roots in Toowoomba, Queensland, we have grown to operate in 64 countries, with 12 international Sales and Service Centres, employing more than 450 dedicated and skilled people worldwide. There are more than 440 mine sites across the planet served by RME’s equipment and services, including more than 570 RUSSELL Mill Relining Machines.

There is now an exciting opportunity for a Service Account Manager to join the Regional Services team on a permanent full-time basis.

We are searching for a highly experienced Sales Professional capable of managing complex contracts and can work effectively with our international Customers from regions such as Europe, Middle East, Mongolia and Central Asia.

The successful candidate will be someone who can drive regional growth by securing and managing Long-Term Service Contracts and adapting to diverse Customer needs.We are searching for a highly experienced Sales Professional capable of managing complex contracts and can work effectively with our international Customers from regions such as Europe, Middle East, Mongolia and Central Asia.

The successful candidate will be someone who can drive regional growth by securing and managing Long-Term Service Contracts and adapting to diverse Customer needs.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for collaboratively developing RME’s opportunities and relationships with existing Customers. This will include:

  • Working with the Customer and RME’s Customer Support team to ensure the delivery of consistent, world-class service and maintenance through quality asset management;
  • Actively participating in Customer engagement efforts to ensure that RME is a Proactive Partner;
  • Providing regular, rapid responses to Customer needs and completes designated calls and routes;
  • Ensuring the sustainability of the Service business through accuracy in fiscal and administrative responsibilities;
  • Providing leadership in Sales and Service processes, including the development and implementation of such processes;
  • Actively work with Customers in order to improve their concentrator performance and to maximise on revenue potential;
  • Forming relationships with potential Customers to determine the level of potential and, where appropriate, engage with the Customer; and
  • A willingness to relocate to Toowoomba, QLD.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • At least 3 years’ aftersales support experience, preferably in a mining- or export-related field. Attractive specialisations include:  
    • Industry and/or Customer specific;
      such as Technical and major service;
    • Logistic and shipping;
    • Service Contract; and
    • Service Agreements.
  • A candidate who is results oriented and highly proactive, but also adaptable to dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • A strong drive to see sales through to completion whilst maintaining strong business acumen  
  • Ability to seek out and develop mutually beneficial relationships with Customers, as well as follow through with proposals or quotes
  • Ability to quickly generate rapport and understand, interpret and respond clearly to others
  • Well-developed negotiation and persuasion skills
  • A desire to delight Customers, going ‘above and beyond’ the call of duty
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to determine priorities, meet deadlines and take follow-up action until finalisation

There is now an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Engineered to Order (ETO) Engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Our ETO Engineering team ensures RME’s engineering outputs are fit for consumption for our Customers. The ETO team generates designs enabling the manufacturing and service of RME’s product offerings. The Mechanical Engineer role will complete assigned design tasks with high levels of quality and efficiency and will be required to plan and perform professional engineering work with minimal detailed supervision.  

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the layout, design, and analysis of high-quality mining equipment. This role will create designs that prioritise safety, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost, whilst ensuring the highest of standards in every task. Additionally, this role will contribute to improvement projects and the management of problem reports, change requests, and notice for assigned projects. The Mechanical Engineer functions within a team to effectively support customers and meet RME’s goals and objectives.

There is now an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Asset Support team on a permanent full-time basis.

The Asset Support Engineering team provides a crucial role in the support of all in service machines globally. The team’s responsibility is to provide support to RME’s customers by collaborating with RME’s regional offices. The primary function of the Asset Support Team is to provide servicing support and to develop solutions for all in service products.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be a recognised technical expert within the Asset Support Engineering team. They will be responsible for completing assigned design tasks to an expected level of quality in an efficient manner and within defined time periods. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will have technical control over their designs and be able to carry out all facets of engineering required to progress their engineering tasks from concept to completion. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also be responsible for the training and mentoring of less experienced Engineers and Draftsman in the broader Asset Support Engineering team.

The Drafting team provides a key role in ensuring RME’s engineering outputs are fit for consumption by, and provide value to downstream customers. The team’s remit is to generate artefacts, typically in the form of BoMs, 3D and 2D drawings, which enable the manufacture and servicing of RME’s product offerings. 

The Mechanical Draftsperson is responsible for completing assigned drafting tasks to a high standard of quality, efficiently, and within defined time frames. They will manipulate models of mechanical components as required to meet project specifications. The Mechanical Draftsperson will also have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a diverse team environment.

There is now an exciting opportunity for a Trades Assistant/Yardman to join our Blast and Paint team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Trades Assistant/Yardman will ensure the smooth flow of parts, machinery, and equipment through our yard. This role will be crucial for maintaining efficiency in the processes of preparing parts and equipment for blast and paint. The Trades Assistant/Yardman will assist the spray painter with tasks such as preparation, cleaning, taping and touch up painting to ensure the timely delivery of parts in full (DIFOT).
